About Aisha

    Who is Aisha DaCosta?

I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to Queens, New York in 1981. Shortly after graduating high school, I enlisted in the US Air Force and served four and half years before being accepted into the Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) program at the University of Nebraska.

I served over eight years active duty in the Air Force before joining the Air Force Reserves in 2006. Currently I am a Captain in the Reserves and reside in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Philanthropist. In May 2011, I started a non-profit organization called I am O’Kah!, Inc in honor of my sister Kahdine who passed away from breast cancer at 26 in 2004. I am O’Kah!, Inc serves under privileged youths in Baltimore. We offer career preparatory programming and a competitive scholarship for eligible high school seniors. Visit us at http://www.IamOKah.org

The Poet. I have always written poetry as a means to relieve stress and release inspiration. For years friends have told me that I needed to write a poetry book…so I self-published my very first poetry book, YAY!

And I must admit since I published my book ‘Reflections’ I have written very few poems. I must be in need of a new muse or that chapter in my life is closed. I’m not quite sure, but when inspiration hits…I write. Reflections is a compilation of all my poems from high school up until my deployment to Iraq.

While stationed in Turkey I used to perform at the weekly poetry events, tweaking my style of poetry and finally developing my voice and the creation of my alter-ego ‘ADDicted’. If you like poetry check my book out…it is available on-line through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-a-million and just about all other retail outlets.

The Career Logistician. I parlayed over eight years experience as a Logistics Readiness officer into a career as a Supply Chain Consultant with a government consulting firm.

The Entrepreneur. I am the President and CEO of a Consultancy Group called KPS Strategic Networks. When I was 18 years old I knew I wanted to be a millionaire but I had absolutely no clue, HOW? By no means do I have it all figured out, but I know above all else if you plan to be an entrepreneur you MUST study and practice marketing. I have always mentored and been mentored by my friends on various ways to optimize business ventures. This passion turned into an obsession as my interest piqued about the bountiful streams of income resident on the internet that were being leveraged daily by thousands to create financial freedom.

I also co-founded the Real Estate Investment firm iWholesale REOs, which is a subsidary of KPS Strategic Networks. We facilitate FREE Real Estate Investment Seminars. Find our latest events at www.iWholesaleREOs.com.

The Voice of Entrepreneurs. Freedom Cipher is my video blog series that chronicles the journeys of entrepreneurs across the world. For many with dreams of being their own boss the hardest part is getting started. How do you do it when you don’t have role models? Freedom Cipher is the gateway into the mind of the entrepreneur it profiles lessons and interviews with entrepreneurs that you can connect with. Aisha I see you are still doing big things. You’re truly an inspiration to those you touch. I see great things because of the hunger and drive you have. Keep going over around under or through obstacles in your path. Extremely well done, great site
